It was late summer 2007 when we realized baby Leu #2 was on his way. Thrilled with the news, and soon to discover it was a BOY!!!! we quickly agreed he should be named after both his grandfathers. My father, Charles Crowell, and Joel's father, Thomas Leu. So soon to arrive is Charles Thomas Leu.
We held back on telling Maggie I was pregnant until we could tell her whether she was going to have a brother or sister. One morning just before our big ultrasound to find out the sex, Maggie looked up at me in the bathroom & pointed to my bellie. She, in her adoring affection, asked if there was a baby in my bellie. Her reaction was simple, she gave my bellie a big hug & a kiss. It was beautiful...and ever since has been very excited to meet her baby brother!
This pregnancy has been a bit of a breeze, once I got beyond 16 weeks. As I approach delivery I spend many quiet moments at nite just watching him ripple across my bellie...and think about all the ways he is going to rock our world.
And now we just wait...will he be a Mother's Day baby - May 11th? or maybe May Day baby. Although there is always April too - which would take us all by a bit of surprise. His actual due date is May 10th, 2008.
